What's Keeping You From Taking Pride In ...

... your acceptance of a naturalistic fate in a naturalistic
world?

Sure, you can't promise immortality to folks. You can
hope for it, but can't promise that it's going to happen.
Is that something to be ashamed of?

Sure, you can't threaten folks with eternal torment. Is
that something to be ashamed of?

Sure, all you have to offer is open-minded search for
the verity of a naturalistic existence in a naturalistic
world. Is that something to be ashamed of?

Answers for the above - nothing, no, no, no.

Live for the *now*, for the eternal *now*, for that,
my friends, is all that we have, all that ever has been,
all that ever will be. Foisting ancient myths on humanity
as well as deferring to said myths as if disbelief was
something to be ashamed of is nothing less than an
outright denial of the value of living life free, living
life to the utmost, living life as if this life is *all* one
can *know* exists.

Love, pleasure, joy, happiness, open-minded pursuit of
verity, these are values worth living for.

Denial, guilt, submission to authoritarianism, deceit,
these are values worth casting in the trashbin of human
history, never to be shoved down the throats and minds
of humankind, ever again.

Our children, our precious children, they inherit our
genes and are no more nor less than the ideology we
impress upon them. Stop saying OK to faith. Stop
saying OK to religion. Tolerance? Yes. OK or thumbs
up? No. Stop saying the myths of the ancients are
enough for our children.

Start saying Yes to a brighter future, a future in which
our children live for the *now*, live to the fullest and
utmost that this life can offer them, for this, my friends,
is all we can be certain of, and the false promises / myths /
threats of the ancients are unworthy of our children and
offer nothing but continued pain and misery to future
generations if they continue the plague of "living in fear
of imaginary beings" ...

And God / Yahweh / Jesus / Holy Spirit / Allah /
Mohammed / Siva / Brahma / Vishnu / Ganesh said ...

... who's to say?

I mean, after all, all of the claims from the past are
based in vague and disputable contexts, with the
supposed "holy" value of such proclamations dis-
putable at the very least by virtue of the fact that
there is no reliable validation that any of the procla-
mations are any more than mere claims by human
beings, for a variety of reasons and in a plethora of
circumstances leading one to the conclusion that
all of them, every last one of them, is ...

Human in origin, with "holy" inspiration as disputable
as would be *any* claim from *any* human that a
superbeing was speaking to them in the present day.

Mohammed, the *last* prophet of god? Please, give
me a break, like god ran out of prophet potential
over 1,300 years ago - that would be some impotent
god, now wouldn't it?

Get with it. If god could speak to ancients who were
ignorant of most of the naturalistic facts regarding our
origins and physics, what, for the love of all that is
just and decent and honorable, would tie god's tongue
in the modern day when humans are more than know-
ledgable about the workings of a natural world?

God, if it exists, can and must speak to us, for to re-
main silent, it does nothing but affirm its nonexistence.

Read your holy books - they reek of ancient mythology,
they're soaked in ignorance and in an absence of respect
for human endeavor to make the most out of our one
*sure* shot at life - they're empty of cures for disease,
empty of care and concern for the welfare of children,
empty of respect for human endeavor to love and care
for the truth, for open-mindedness, for exploration of
unknowns ...

... They're little more than ancient myth-steeped super-
stition-soaked deception, and to feed those myths and all
of that hate-filled hell-soaked evil into the minds of children
is a travesty, an abomination, an utter manifestation of evil
and deceit in the modern age ...

Know this, know this as Bush and Ashcroft waltz off to
church each Sunday, know this as Arafat and Bin Laden
bow to Mecca 5 times per day, know this as a certain fact ...

The time for an end to the thumbs up for religion as the
moral icon of humanity is *now* ...

The time for freedom from bowing to ancient superstition
is *now* ...

The time to live as a responsible and knowledge-seeking
species endeavoring to make the best of our one and only
*sure* chance at life is *now*, on this earth, at this time,
in this life ...

For those still inclined to follow religions, consider the
following:

Start thinking on your own (Christian version) ...

"... As pronounced by Jesus / God / Holy Spirit, all of
the religions and writings from the past are to be sus-
pended, henceforth and forevermore, to be replaced
by human logic, reason, and the best that humankind
can be, based on an understanding of a naturalistic
world, and an acceptance that it's solely and with
no
recourse up to humans, freed from ancient myths and
anti-human edicts of separatism and tribalism, to make
the most out of their one and only *sure* chance at life,
on this earth, at this time ...
