Let's Say, *YOU* Are Put In Charge ...

... of the entire universe (a mental exercise here - enjoy the
journey). What would you do?

I'd go back in time and do things differently on this planet.

With that re-do, I'd construct a physical world without pain and
suffering.

I'd make sure every creature felt welcome with joy and pleasure
their source of strength.

I'd make sure every creature knew what it was all about, with all
regarding their past/present/future destiny being an inherent part
of their being.

I'd eliminate the debilitating downsides of current life (examples):
birth defects, cancer, mental disease, ignorance, epilepsy,
diabetes, malaria, AIDS, hypertension, heart disease, heart
attacks, old age, alzheimer's, massive death-dealing devices
such as earth-pummeling asteroids and comets, poisons, polio,
Parkinson's disease, lupus, meat-eating physiology, waste pro-
ducing biology, hay fever, colds, the flu, cholera, Sudden Instant
Death Syndrome, tuberculosis, dysentery, syphilis, strokes,
unrecuperative dismemberments, earthquakes, physical harm
to one another, blindness, deafness, floods, hurricanes, torna-
does, tsunamis, volcanic eruptions, etc.

The re-do would be a heaven on earth deal with no worship
desired or required.

To simplify matters for the sake of understanding, focus would
be naturally shifted to/inspired by the positive aspects of human
existence ...

the romance,

the yearning for knowledge,

the search for truth and beauty,

the arts,

music,

nurturing of children,

the wisdom of elders,

the communion with nature,

passivity,

the wonders of our earthly environment such as the Grand
Canyon/Yellowstone/Yosemite,

sex,

love,

positive pro-human humanism,

the sciences,

a light morning fog (well, good so long as you're not traveling
in it),

a bright starlit night in the middle of a meadow far from the city,

the taste of fine wine,

the vigor of intellectual debate,

the variety of thrilling experiences from skydiving to probing the
depths of the oceans,

the thrill of connection with fellow humans,

laughter,

the pure joy of your first-born's first steps-words-connection with
you,

the joy of touching-feeling-sharing with loved ones,

and yes, I think you can appreciate the promise and thrill of what
it would be like to live in a truly nurturing and positive world with
a rich and rewarding life experience and a future free of pain, hate,
and death.
