The Vatican's Role in the Rise of Modern Anti-Semitism [link

New York Times Service, October 3, 2001
Excerpt:
"...
For the better part of a century and a half, from the fall of
Napoleon to the rise of Hitler, the church not only failed to
combat anti-Semitism, but actively, knowingly, purposely contributed
to it, lending it authority and respectability while honoring
its most active purveyors inside the church and outside. ..."

The
appearance of a pro-Hitler pamphlet at the World Conference
Against Racism (WCAR) held in Durban was one of many ironies
attesting to the continuing strength of
raw anti-Semitism.
It
was published by the Durban-based Islamic Propagation Centre
International, now revealed to have received at least US $3
million from Osama bin Laden.
There
was a huge push to depict Israel as a Nazi state, symbolised
by the transmuting of the Star of David into a swastika. This
same lobby attempted to diminish the crimes of the Nazis themselves,
including trivialising or denying the Holocaust against the
Jews.
Ambiguous
Arab-Muslim attitudes to Hitler can be traced to his popularity
in much of the Arab world both before and during the Second
World War.
...
As
in the 1930s, the world is not unduly concerned with anti-Semitism.
Arab media is awash with hideous anti-Jewish incitement that
Western media does not find significant enough to publish.
Nevertheless,
as observed in Durban by Dr Shimon Samuels of the Simon Wiesenthal
Centre, "what starts with Jews does not end with Jews".
We
might just be finding this out with the horrific terror attack
in America.

Is
a god of love and a god of hate one in the same? Is the god the
mass suiciders / mass murderers prayed to and the god Pat Robertson
prays to and the god that christians and muslims and jews pray
to and the gods of all other faiths all one in the same?
Robertson
says attacks 'wake-up call from God'
Associated Press
Published October 2, 2001
Entire
article:
VIRGINIA
BEACH, Va. -- Religious broadcaster Pat Robertson on Monday
called the Sept. 11 attacks a "wake-up call from God"
and said the nation can shield itself from future attacks through
a spiritual revival.
"The
Lord is getting ready to shake this nation. We have not yet
seen his judgment on America," Robertson told about 1,000
people attending a ceremony marking the 40th anniversary of
the on-air debut of his Christian Broadcasting Network.
"This
thing that happened in New York was child's play compared to
what's going to happen," Robertson said.
Robertson
also said he stood by a statement he released after the attacks
in which he said that Americans had insulted God by, among other
things, allowing abortion and "rampant
Internet pornography" and that "God Almighty is lifting
his protection from us."

Isn't
the god of the mass suiciders / mass murderers, the god of the
muslims, the god of the Jews, the god of the christians, and
all other gods of all other faiths exactly the same in that
they are all make-believe super-being thingies that do not,
and point in fact, cannot exist?
Please
say "Yes!" as a god who would endorse the acts of
9-11-01 is a god unworthy of anything but damnation to a fate
worse than the "immortal burning in hell" most religions
threaten humans with.

Woman
Missing for Two Weeks Found Safe
A
young
French woman, severely shocked by the suicide attack on the
World Trade Centre in New York, was located in hospital by her
family after being listed as missing for two weeks.
The
woman, named as Alexandra Arnaud-Lepers, was in her apartment
close to the twin towers when they collapsed. Although not injured
physically, Ms Arnuad-Lepers, who is in her late 20s, was taken
to hospital suffering from extreme shock and failed to contact
her family.
She
was located on Monday last week, 13 days after the attack, when
the French consulate in Paris circulated her description to
all hospitals in the New York area. Her mother traveled from
Toulon to New York last week to be reunited with the daughter
she feared had died.
"The
more days that passed, the more we were overcome with grief,"
her grandmother, Marie, told the newspaper Le Parisien. "Then
we got a telephone call from the American consulate in Marseilles
and we exploded with joy.
"On
11 September, she was in her apartment a couple of steps from
the World Trade Centre. She saw everything, the flames, the
falling bodies, the collapsing towers. She was brought out uninjured
but severely
psychologically shocked."
Ms
Arnaud-Lepers' condition is said to have improved since her
mother's arrival. She had been working in the New York fashion
industry for two years.

Star Trek, Near Future, & Science
Beam-me-up,
Scotty? Well, in the new Star Trek prequel, Enterprise, transporting
is experimental and a rather risky adventure. Per a scientist
analyzing Star Trek physics, the transporter is not possible,
ever.
Another
Star Trek advance (not available in the new show, set in 2151,
about 100 years prior to the original series), the holodeck
might be possible, but only in an entertainment sense rather
than the pseudo-realistic sense as depicted in the first Star
Trek sequel, The Next Generation.
